upcoming events.

A quick post on some events that I have coming up…

Early Sunday afternoon, from 12-3pm, my folks (and some other homeschooling folks) are sharing a table at a Craft Sale for Syrian Refugees at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Riverdale (135 First Avenue).

The kids and parents have been furiously making things to sell.  The proceeds of the purchase of the table for us to sell our wares go to the church’s Syrian Refugee sponsorship. The proceeds of our product sales will all go to the Neema Project for girls who we are contracting to make reusable pads for girls in their community.

Here are some of the bracelets that my girls  have made and will be selling:

Later that Sunday I will be teaching a mini workshop at a pop-up shop/merry making event hosted and organized by Paper Plus Cloth:

If you buy your tickets beforehand, you will receive a goodie bag at the event.  For tickets, click here.  Kids 12 and under are FREE.

If you can’t make it out on Sunday, Rowena will also be having a pop-up shop at The Workroom this Friday and at The Workroom Studio on Sunday December 6:

I have an Intro Book of Hours Workshop happening on Wed December 2 at Pegasus Studios (361 Glebeholme Blvd) from 7-9 pm.

If you would like to attend, please email me: rdiosolopez@gmail.com

It will be an amazing way to reset and remain grounded for the holiday season!

If you are interested in hosting a Book of Hours Workshop for yourself and your closest peeps, I can come to you!  I need a minimum of 4 students.  Drop me a line if you would like to set that up…

I will be starting a countdown to 2016 on the blog on December 1, remembering my year and the word I chose to guide me through it: FAITH.  I will have prompts and my Book of Hours pages, emphasizing faith and reflection.

I hope you are able to join me or read along!
